Gov. DeSantis announces Hope Florida liaisons in schools

Hope Florida news conference Gov. Ron DeSantis announced a pilot program with Hope Florida to put liaisons in select schools.

FRUITLAND PARK, Fla. — Gov. Ron DeSantis has announced a pilot program with Hope Florida.

During a Wednesday news conference at Fruitland Park Elementary School, the governor said that Hope Florida, an organization started by first lady Casey DeSantis, will train a liaison to be placed on campus in select school districts.

“These liaisons will serve as a dedicated person on staff who can act as a point of contact for Hope Florida resources for students, parents and staff,” DeSantis said.

The governor previously announced that Hope Florida liaisons will be available in every sheriff’s office in the estate, as well as every state college.
